PlayDNA processes wrist motion and permitted Health data on your devices for sessions you start. Solo recording and deterministic match analysis do not need an account. Optional telemetry, signed-in racket research, and restricted Cloud Coach or Live Duo services have distinct data flows described here. Choosing Apple Maps search also sends a query and, when available, a session-location region to Apple.

Availability is separate from this disclosure. Live Duo and the newer Coach/Explore and practice-library entry points are not publicly enabled in version 1.2. Cloud Coach remains restricted during testing, and racket research is subject to sign-in and server-side access controls. Describing these services does not announce their release.

If you subscribe to Court Notes, the website sends your email and signup-source tag to Loops; each email includes an unsubscribe link. The website uses Google Analytics and Vercel Web Analytics for audience measurement. These services may receive browser/device details, approximate location, referrer and visited pages, and may use browser identifiers. See the cookie notice for controls. App match and Health data are not sent to website analytics. App product analytics and correction sharing are separate, off-by-default choices.

Personal match records, scores, permitted Health summaries, saved clubs and deterministic Coach plans are stored on your devices; raw motion is processed locally. Apple-managed sync or device backups may also hold local app data. These records are not uploaded to Shuttle Works as a full session recording. Selected summaries can leave the device only through the optional flows described in this policy.

If you use Cloud Coach, account records, conversations, consent, active Coach memories, and the PlayDNA+ entitlement link are stored by Supabase in the European Union. Cached conversations on the iPhone expire after 30 days. Deleting the app removes local app records but does not delete cloud data or workouts already saved to Apple Health; use the cloud deletion control in Settings and Apple Health's own controls respectively.

Live Duo is not publicly enabled in version 1.2. Where enabled for testing, it requires both teammates to sign in with Apple. To create and relay the shared match, PlayDNA stores each participant’s account identifier and display name, the match configuration, score revisions, and each wearer’s sanitized stroke track. Shared match records are stored by Supabase in the European Union. Both participants can view the resulting shared match evidence.

Raw wrist motion, HealthKit data and personal analytics are not included in the Duo relay. Separate optional cloud features follow their own rules below. Unjoined invitations expire after 15 minutes, interrupted matches expire after 24 hours, and retained shared records expire after 90 days. Deleting either participant’s cloud account removes the shared server match and both sanitized tracks; a teammate’s previously downloaded local snapshot may remain offline.

With your permission, the Watch reads workout, heart-rate, active-energy and resting heart-rate data and saves completed workouts to Apple Health. It does not request permission to write separate heart-rate or active-energy samples. Optional iPhone Health context can read resting and walking heart rate, heart-rate variability, one-minute heart-rate recovery, sleep and estimated VO₂ max. These readings and derived Health context are processed locally, not uploaded as Cloud Coach evidence or optional telemetry. They are not used for advertising or sold. You can change Health access in Apple's Health settings; denied or missing readings remain unavailable.

Club location capture is off by default. If enabled with location permission, the Watch takes a short location fix near session start for local club recognition; it is separate from experimental court-position estimates. Saved clubs and session fixes are not sent to Shuttle Works or Cloud Coach. You can choose or enter a club manually without location access or internet.

Only when you explicitly search Apple Maps does the app send your entered query (or “racket sports club” for an empty query) and, when saved, a roughly 4 km search region centred on that session's Watch fix to Apple. It does not use the iPhone's current location for this search. Apple's privacy policy governs that service. You can remove a session's club and fix, disable future capture, or erase saved location data in Settings.

Correction sharing and product analytics are separate choices, both off by default. The current public Session Details screen does not expose the correction-sharing action. When a correction is shared from a supported screen with sharing enabled, its payload is:

Separately, opt-in product analytics sends events such as feature views, upgrade taps and purchase-flow actions. An event includes the same random installation and deletion tokens, an event identifier and name, timestamp, app version, Plus entitlement status, screen/source, optional cadence category and a coarse session-count bucket. It does not include raw motion, Health readings, location or a full session record.

These tokens persist for the installation and can associate its records over time; we do not describe this data as anonymous or de-identified. Telemetry is hosted by Supabase in the European Union (Ireland). Service retention schedules remove corrections older than 24 months and product events older than 180 days. Turning either choice off stops future sharing for that choice; it does not erase earlier records. “Delete my shared data” requests deletion of both kinds of telemetry tied to the installation. After successful deletion, the app removes its tokens and turns both choices off.

Cloud Coach requires Sign in with Apple, verified PlayDNA+ access, separate Cloud Coach consent and service access. It remains restricted during testing. Typed conversations send your message, sport, locale, relevant recent conversation history and active Coach memories. Non-session requests can include a bounded deterministic-plan summary and its cited metrics. Session-attached requests instead use selected evidence freshly derived for that exact session, not a full session recording or a stale plan snapshot. Selected exercise summaries, such as stroke counts and relative wrist-intensity metrics, are fitness information; they are distinct from the HealthKit readings that stay on device.

After consent, opening an eligible Session Review can automatically request a cloud assessment without a typed message when signed in with Plus and the service is ready. This sends selected score/stroke/activity summaries, a session reference, sport and locale. Where available, it can also include your saved court side, opponent-difficulty choice, session goal, focus attempt and a bounded active-focus/progress summary. Without the required access, consent or connectivity, deterministic analysis stays local.

Automatically assembled session evidence excludes Health readings and location. Raw motion, full session recordings, contacts and advertising identifiers are not part of the coaching context. Your Apple sign-in identifier authenticates the service but is not included in the coaching prompt. Anything you type or save as a memory is itself cloud content, so do not include sensitive information you do not want to send.

Cloud Coach responses may propose one memory change. The app applies a memory only after the server confirms it, shows the change, and offers undo. You can inspect, edit, or delete each memory; revoke consent; sign out; or delete all Cloud Coach account data in Settings.

Cloud Coach conversations are scheduled for deletion 30 days after their latest exchange; continuing a conversation extends that period for its stored messages and evidence context. Active memories are managed separately through the memory controls. Coaching requests are processed through OpenRouter and its downstream model providers. Requests require zero-data-retention routing and deny downstream provider data collection. Enabling the service also requires confirmation that OpenRouter's optional account-level input/output logging is off. These controls do not disable PlayDNA's own conversation storage.

Racket research is a separate signed-in request, not permission to upload your playing history. Product searches send the sport and entered brand, model, year or product URL; evidence requests send the selected product's catalogue identity and source URL/title. Finding alternatives sends the current racket's identity and public specifications. Your locally saved budget, preferences and game profile are not included. Our research service uses OpenRouter-backed web research and public manufacturer or review pages. Opening source links or loading remote product images also contacts those external sites. Research access remains server-controlled; this policy does not promise public access to every Racket Finder service.

PlayDNA+ is sold through the App Store. Apple handles payment. For optional signed-in services, PlayDNA sends Apple-signed transaction data to verify subscription access and link the entitlement to the account. We do not receive your payment-card details. Apple's own privacy policy governs what Apple keeps.

Under GDPR and similar laws you can ask what we hold, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to processing. “Delete my shared data” removes optional telemetry tied to the random installation identifier. “Delete Cloud Coach data” removes conversations, memories, consent, and entitlement links tied to the optional account. Deleting a cloud account also removes its Live Duo server matches and sanitized tracks, although a teammate’s previously downloaded local snapshot may remain offline. These controls do not delete personal match sessions stored on your iPhone. You can also contact us and we will respond within the period required by applicable law.
